Are your candles eco-friendly?

Yes, we are committed to sustainability. Our candles are made with 100% natural soy wax, FSC-certified wood wicks, and are poured into recyclable tin cans. We use biodegradable packaging materials, including packing peanuts and compostable mailers.

First Burn: During the first use, allow the wax to melt evenly across the entire surface, which may take approximately 2-3 hours. This process prevents tunneling and promotes an even burn throughout the lifespan of the candle.

Wick Maintenance: Trim the wick to approximately 3-5mm before each use to maintain an even flame. This can be done with a wick trimmer, nail clippers, or fingers.

Burn Duration: We advise against burning the candle for more than 4 hours at a time. Please discontinue use when 1.5 cm of wax remains to prevent the tin from overheating. The tin may then be cleaned and reused or recycled.

Uneven or rough surfaces are typical of 100% soy wax candles due to natural cooling inconsistencies. This is entirely normal and does not impact the performance or quality of the candle.
To avoid tunneling, ensure that your candle burns until the entire surface is a pool of liquid wax during the first use. This establishes a “memory ring,” ensuring that future burns are even and effective. Avoid extinguishing the flame before this occurs.

If tunneling has already occurred, you can remedy it by wrapping aluminum foil around the top edges of the candle, leaving an opening to light the wick. This method helps to melt the wax evenly. Once the surface has leveled, remember to burn the candle properly thereafter to prevent further tunneling.

If the wick is not remaining lit, it may require trimming. A wick that is either too long or too short can impede a stable flame. Trim the wick to 3-5mm to ensure a consistent, clean burn. This can be done with a wick trimmer, nail clippers, or fingers.

“Sweating,” or the appearance of droplets, is a natural occurrence with 100% soy wax candles and is often caused by temperature fluctuations. This does not impact the candle’s performance. Simply wipe away the droplets with a tissue, and avoid exposing the candle to direct sunlight or drafts to minimize sweating.

A flickering or low flame may be the result of natural inconsistencies in the wood wick. If this occurs, attempt relighting the candle a few times, as it may take a few attempts for the flame to stabilize.
For safety, always burn your candle within sight, keep it away from flammable materials, and out of the reach of children and pets. Ensure the candle is allowed to cool completely before handling.

To optimize scent throw, allow the candle to burn for at least 2 hours during each use, particularly on the first use. Additionally, placing the candle in a smaller room can help amplify the fragrance.

To reuse the tin, place it in simmering water until the residual wax melts. Once hardened, the wax can be removed with a fork, and the tin cleaned with soap and water. If the tin has labels, heating with a hairdryer should facilitate their removal.

Yes, we provide a sample kit consisting of 10 assorted miniatures of 10g each. This allows you to experience different scents before purchasing a full-size candle. We also offer a special discount if you decide to purchase a full-size candle after sampling.

Orders within Canada generally arrive within 5-10 business days if opted for Standard Shipping, while Express shipping times typically range from 1-4 business days, depending on the destination. You will receive a tracking number once your order is shipped.

We accept returns within 10 days from the date of receipt. If your candle arrives damaged, please contact us at info@aromecollection.com within 48 hours of receipt, providing proof of damage. We will arrange a replacement or refund as applicable. However, please note we do not offer any return on candles sold using custom labels unless there has been a spelling error caused at our end. Also, we do not accept returns or exchanges on custom blend candles by Candle boutique, as these items are specially crafted according to your preferences. Please refer to our Returns page for further details on our policies.
